[In-Person] Ayurveda 102: Create an Ayurvedic Meal Plan

This beginner-friendly class instructs you in the very basic foundations of Ayurvedic principles for health maintenance. Created as a companion class to ‘Intro to Ayurveda: Create a Personalized Ayurvedic Health Plan’ or Ayurveda 101, this class can be taken by newbies and dabblers alike. Ayurveda, the traditional medical system of India, is the oldest, continuously practiced medical system in the world. Ayurveda means ‘science of living’ and offers methods for living well and establishing health, from childhood through adulthood and into old age. Health recommendations are unique in Ayurveda because many factors affect health.
At this workshop, you’ll create an Ayurvedic meal plan based on the season, your cultural background, your body type, and your health goals. You’ll learn how to utilize foods and spices to create a feeling of balance within. You’ll arrive at a completely new understanding of health – one that’s holistic, achievable, blends well with other modalities, and brings happiness and joy to your life.

About the instructor:
Jennifer Maklan is an Āyurvedic Practitioner with training in classical Āyurveda, the traditional medical system of India. Jennifer completed the Svastha Ācarya Program at ĀYU Academy, a leading Āyurveda education program that teaches Ayurveda as it is taught in India. She is trained in Āyurvedic therapies and is currently continuing her education in the Samudra Ayurvedic Physicians Program. Jennifer founded and directed a popular online Ayurveda directory which was later acquired by an international Āyurvedic skincare giant. While there, Jennifer became Senior Manager of U.S. Operations and directed various online and offline Ayurveda-related projects.
